IOSH (Institution of Occupational Safety and Health) have released an update regarding the IOSH Working Safely course and its recognition status with the CSCS card system.
The IOSH Working Safely course will no longer be recognised by the CSCS card scheme and can no longer be used to gain a green CSCS labourers card. The current eligibility will cease on 31st March 2020.
The IOSH Safety, Health and Environment for Construction Workers course has now been approved by CSCS and is therefore eligible for the Green Labourer card.
The benefit of this is that this course has been designed in consultation with experts in the construction sector. Therefore, its content is more relevant to those training to work on a construction site.
