IOSH Managing Safely

The IOSH Managing Safely course provides managers and supervisors with the practical knowledge and skills to manage the health and safety of others by teaching the moral, legal and business needs for proactive health and safety management.

IOSH Managing Safely Refresher

The IOSH Managing Safely Refresher course provides managers and supervisors with an update for how to effectively manage the health and safety of others by teaching the moral, legal and business needs for proactive health and safety management.

IOSH Working Safely

CITB Directors Role for Health and Safety

This course is for Directors and Senior Managers to highlight the human and financial impacts of health and safety on a business. It will look at positive organisational culture to benefit health and safety at work and all delegates will leave with an action plan to take back to their businesses.

CITB Health and Safety Awareness: Site Safety Plus

This introductory CITB training course is part of the Site Safety Plus range of CITB courses and is aimed at operatives and newcomers to the construction industry. It is an ideal foundation course for those wishing to obtain an industry accreditation certificate and can be used to obtain your green CSCS card.

CITB Site Environmental Awareness Training Scheme (SEATS)

This course is designed to provide supervisors and managers with a clear introduction to environmental issues on construction sites. Delegates should be at site supervisor level before taking part (no formal pre-qualifications are required).

Through an understanding of legal responsibilities, supervisors can better contribute to the instruction, supervision and monitoring of safety on site.

The SSSTS Refresher course will bring delegates up to date with the latest legislative changes and their impact on the workplace. The SSSTS training course is designed for delegates who have already completed the two-day SSSTS course and are within their five-year expiry.

CITB Temporary Works Co-ordinator

This two-day CITB Temporary Works Co-ordinator Training Course (TWCTC) is aimed at those who have responsibility on site for managing all forms of temporary works; this includes site or project managers, senior management and those working with contractors.

CITB Temporary Works Supervisor

The course gives emphasis throughout to the importance of communication, co-ordination, cooperation and competency (the ‘4Cs’), risk management, safety and business relations. It allows the supervisor to understand the need for, and duties of a temporary works supervisor, understand the role of others and have a detailed knowledge of BS5975.

Emergency First Aid at Work

This one-day course provides delegates with the skills to help a casualty who requires urgent first aid, such as CPR. It equips participants with the skills and knowledge needed to deal with other first aid emergencies, such as shock, allergic reactions, choking and minor injuries.

First Aid at Work

This three-day course provides delegates with a comprehensive understanding of how to respond to a wide variety of emergency situations and first aid requirements, including everything covered in the one-day course, as well as spinal injuries, managing an unconscious casualty, fractures and anaphylaxis.

First Aid at Work (Re-Qualification)

NUCO Mental Health First Aid

The First Aid for Mental Health course introduces the First Aid for Mental Health Action Plan which allows learners to provide their peers with comprehensive guidance and support for a suspected mental health condition.

NUCO Supervising Mental Health First Aid

This course builds on the Level 2 Award in First Aid for Mental Health and covers a wider range of mental health conditions and goes into detail on the range of therapy and professional support that a person may be given by professional bodies during treatment for a mental health condition.

Fire Awareness / Marshal Responsibilities

This half-day course is designed to give those with fire warden/marshal responsibilities training in the process and procedures required for their role. Delegates will be taught the risks that could lead to a fire, the relevant legal framework and the current HSE recommended best practice, as well as in-house company procedures.

Asbestos Awareness

A half-day course giving delegates a greater understanding of the effects and dangers of asbestos. This course is for those who may work in buildings containing asbestos, but will not be removing the material. This course is aimed at anyone employed in a construction or refurbishment project.

Display Screen Equipment (DSE) Assessors

Display Screen Equipment (DSE) Awareness

This course provides awareness of the health risks when working with DSE so delegates can learn how to self-assess their work station and set it up correctly and comfortably.

DSEAR Awareness

This course provides an introduction to the Dangerous Substances and Explosive Atmospheres Regulations (DSEAR), enabling delegates to understand their health and safety responsibilities and feel competent in carrying out risk assessments and putting control measures in place.

Face Fit Testing

Respiratory Protection Equipment (RPE) must be worn when employees are working with gases, vapours and dusts. Face fit testing ensures that the selected RPE is appropriate for the wearer and is serving its purpose. This includes the correct fit, maintenance and inspections.

Permit to Work Awareness

A permit to work system ensures formal validation and authority is given when hazardous work is to be undertaken. This course ensures all delegates are aware of the essential information outlined within health and safety legislation on permits. Delegates will also look at how to write a sufficient permit and how to review others onsite, as well as how the permit system operates and their responsibilities whilst working under the permit.
